The American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) Nigeria chapter held her 2nd annual Professional Development Conference and Exhibition on 3rd -5th March 2015. The American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) Nigeria chapter held her 2nd annual Professional Development Conference and Exhibition on 3rd -5th March 2015 at the external ball room of the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The Conference and Exhibition provided an excellent opportunity for professionals from the industry to share experiences and build fruitful relationships with stakeholders. A speech was made by US and UK safety practitioners to Nigerians to comply with current global safety practices in order to be at par with other nations of the world who have leveraged compliance with safety codes at all levels to grow their economy. These are some of the thoughts shared by international safety speakers at the 2nd annual edition of the Professional Development Conference(PDC 2015) organized by the Nigeria Chapter of America Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE NC).

Chatting with Safety View Correspondent, key professionals said, we have a lot as safety professionals to learn from foreign experts especially current trend in global safety practices. For our economy to grow beyond where it is now, we cannot toil with complying with safety codes that will move us forward. I believe the attendees here are going home with loads of knowledge that would be best deployed in their various organizations and the nation at large.
